Founded in October 1992, Sino-American Kunming Baker Norton Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereafter abbreviated as KBN) is the first joint-venture in Yunnan pharmaceutical industries. The Chinese and foreign shareholders of KBN are Kunming Pharmaceutical Corp. (SSE:600422) and TEVA Pharmaceutical Industries Co., Ltd from Israel. Teva is among the top 20 pharmaceutical companies and among the largest generic pharmaceutical companies in the world which is specialized in the development, production and marketing of generic and proprietary branded pharmaceuticals and API (active pharmaceutical ingredients).
